(The great-grandmother Big G and  her great grandson are in the middle of the scene, he turns to leave and she grabs his arm)

You big boy, but you need to be man, now.  Your sister say something about seeds of….what is  word?   nghi ngờ (struggles)….doubt?

(He nods, bows his head, she takes his chin and turns his face to her)

From book, but I don't need fancy book, I just see your eyes, and I know....I know something is wrong.

Seed valuable, not waste!  Seed from tree make new tree - lots of seeds, only one tree grow after many year…..with some seed, you plant, make food soon, few weeks,.......but other seed,
These seeds of…doubt….they like weeds - all the seeds grow, but they make only bad……not good to eat, not good for anything except destroy ..........…..

People are like seed,  lot of seed, only few people grow good like tree, have fruit that is good, take time…….but seeds of doubt, bad seeds……you do not want to be that…..I know inside you are good boy……

(He very impulsively hugs her, then breaks away and runs out.  She holds out her arms, but he doesn't look back.  She watches, shaking head.)
Father bad seed, hope to grow son seed into good tree, not easy…not easy……

(She bows her head, then lifts it, looking up)

Time to go for advice…..

(She takes her purse and an umbrella, exits.  Lights down.)
