Monologue Mania Day # 1198 More (again) by Janet S. Tiger (c) May 26, 2017

This monologue is related to More (for Caregivers Anonymous) Perhaps they will run back to back, not sure yet

                                                         More (again)

        (Woman is smoking, irritated)

I don't care if I smoke - and you know what?
I don't care if you don't like it!

Do you have any idea what my job is like?
I'll switch with you - you can take over taking care
of two people - one who is old and sick, the other who is just old.

Not bad people, but they are family, so there is no pay -
unless you consider the warm appreciation I get every time
someone yells at me for doing something wrong!

I figured that if I stopped smoking, I would have more time in the
day - a cigarette is 5-10 minutes -
so I do 20 a day, that's 100 minutes, and that means an extra hour
and a half!

So I guess......if I gave up smoking, I could do more....

(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)

.......but the secret is....I don't want want to do more!

(She puts out her cigarette and marches offstage)

Note to my faithful fans - please excuse the larger type - cannot figure out how to switch it - in the original here,
when normal, it came out tiny, so I went to large!   No logic!
