Monologue Mania Day # 1187 Whatever Happened Janet S. Tiger (c) May 15, 2017

                          Whatever Happened to.....
                                (for The Senior Channel)
a monologue by Janet S. Tiger

(A woman comes out - she is an older version of Handsome Woman Day # 329)

You know those shows......Whatever happened you remember them?  I don't.   And I don't care.  Who are these people no one knows what happened to?  Actors in TV shows I never watched.  Politicians I never liked.  Celebrities whose faces I can't recognize!

I really don't give a damn about all these other forgotten main concern is.....whatever happened to...ME?

That's right....ME!  I look in the mirror and who the hell is that anyhow?  My mother!  What the hell is she doing in my house?  And I look around and my grandchildren see photos of me in albums and say...'ooh, grandma, you were pretty!'  With an emphasis on the ...'were'!

So where did I go?  How did these years get away from me?  Replaced with wrinkles and sagging everything?  Where is the young person who could have done anything?  What exactly have I done?  I'm not famous.  I'm not rich.  I'm (Thinking) Well, I guess that's better than the alternative.

(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)

So, in case you're wondering whatever happened to me......I'm in the complaint department!
