(Young Asian girl is seen, she is pretty, but not very aware of it.  She is studying, sees her brother enter, is watching him carefully. slight accent)

Where you been out so late?

(When he doesn't answer, she closes her textbook, goes over to him)

You think you can hide from me.  Not possible, my dear brother.  I know you were out very late another night, and it's not that girl from the Von's either.  She thinks you too short for her.  She's right....

(He tries to avoid her but she persists)

That big fire was bad for everyone, but lucky we have good insurance, right?  Right?  From your friend you meet at the party!

(Getting upset)  You think I don't know what happened?  I see you playing with the oven.....I know you study all about fire in  your science class!  Everyone thinks you so brave!  But I don't think so!  I think you stupid!  What if fire go to other stores?  What if someone get hurt?  (Concerned)  What if you got hurt?

You think this gonna solve all our problems, but I don't think so.  I think maybe this start even more trouble for our family, like we don't have enough trouble!

(She goes over to him, he won't look her in the face)

You don't have to say nothing...I know the truth......and maybe I never tell anyone.....but in my heart, I know your heart, because we like twins you and me. ......

(She turns to go back to studying, lifts a book and shakes it at him)

One story here say.....once the seeds of doubt are sown......didn't know what that meant until you come home that night......

And I could see......not good things in your eyes........

       (He exits, blackout)
