Monologue Mania Day # 1382 (but really 1383)by Janet S. Tiger (c) Nov. 27, 2017
For those following this blog,(thank you all!) there is a missing number - 1382 - until I can go back and change and fix this horrifiying insignifcant problem.
If I can't do it myself, I may contact the United Nations and Bill Gates for assistance. Or....just do a monologue about...Missing Numbers.....

(This might go somewhere in the Numbers scene of the play, but not sure yet)
ARIANA - You love numbers, Isaac, but here's something to think about - missing numbers.
(He turns away to snicker))
ARIANA - (Ignoring this) You can laugh....but all my life I've wondered about the missing numbers....
ISAAC - What are you talking about? You mean....x?
ARIANA - No, here's what I mean, I write down the problem from the board, work on it for hours, then show the teacher the answer, and they always say...there's a few missing numbers...
ISAAC - Maybe you forgot them...or didn't write them down?
ARIANA - So where do they go? Do they go home? To the store? For a drink or something? You can make fun of me, but these are real questions! All the work, all the energy, and still wrong! All because some of the numbers are....Missing! Can I report them to the police? And is there a reward? And how do I name the reward....in numbers?
ISAAC - (Seeing she is almost serious) Okay, I got it, it's hard for you....but if you can learn to copy the numbers properly....they won't go missing!
ARIANA - Boy, when you don't get it, you really don't get it, do you? The numbers aren't the missing.....the missing is.....me.....
(Lights down)
