Monologue Mania Day #454 Not the End by Janet S. Tiger  May 12, 2015

This will be close to the end of Caregivers Anonymous - for other monologues, please see Days # 270-273, 284-286, 314, 317, 380, 412)

                                                    Not the End

                             A monologue by Janet S. Tiger   © all rights reserved  2015                                                                                       tigerteam1@gmail.com

(Franklin looks at his watch and raises his arms)

Okay, my friends!  Much as we would rather stay here, I'm afraid it's time to gather up ourselves - and our donuts - and head back to our homes.

        (Some groans are heard)

I hear those groans, but please remember, there is always next week!  Where we can trade more war stories.....and laugh together and cry together, and face our fantastic futures together.  Because, of all the anonymous groups there are....Alcoholics, Narcotics, Overeaters.....no matter what we complain about....and boy, do we know how to complain, right?

        (The others cheer)

What separates us from the other anonymouses....is the fact that they all want to get well, and we are.....we are happy helping others to get well.  And that is big difference!

So, let's all join hands and say our prayer......

(The others stand and form a circle with the outer members reaching out to the audience)

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can - and that includes Depends!..... and....... the wisdom to know the difference.
A......men!!!!!!
(The group lifts their hands as the lights shine bright, then blackout.  The end.)
