(Actor enters dressed for Halloween - with a large scary bag)
Scary. Very scary. No, not a movie where all the actors have to saw off their body parts. In case anyone doesn't know, all those movies are......movies. Not real. I was never a fan of horror movies - not because I was afraid, no, they usually bored me. Predictable. Sometimes disgusting. But always, just movies.
The real life stuff was always more frightening. Fires. Floods. Real murderers. And now, all I have to do to shudder is.....look at my old clutter photos.
(Brings some photos out of the bag)
How scary am I! To take pictures of things before I discard them! And the things I am photographing! Old - empty - spice containers.
(Shows a spice bottle)
Did I mention....empty? For months?
(Pulls out more junk)
Wet and mildewed papers......plastic bags......clothing.....out-of-style, ripped, torn, stained, no longer fits ...clothing. I am shocked that ....even writing this.....it does not make the discarding any easier.
So, I soldier on, one foot in front of the other. The next box, the next pile.
And I remember what is TRULY scary! ME!
(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)
I have great sympathy for those who do this professionally....maybe the next blockbuster for these times will not be Ghostbusters, but maybe.... Clutterbusters.....nah, too scary!
(Exits to the real scary world of hoarding)
