(The stage is dark and a voice is heard over loudspeakers, maybe with some feedback)

Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to the Annual High School Academic League Deacathalon  introductory session for all participants and their instructors- and we ask you to please listen carefully as the rules this year have changed.  Plus, everything mentioned today can be referenced on our website.

We are pleased to announce that all students will be presented with buzzers that have been tested for accuracy by the Google -tronics - a division of Google that enables students of all abilities to participate equally.

All participants will follow the rules that will be enumerated now -

(the announcer reads the next very quickly, going faster and faster)

-no participant will be over the age of 19 as of this date.
-no participant shall be under the age of 12 as of this date
-any participant caught with a listening device or computer bluetooth shall be disqualified immediately

-(so fast that no words are audible, just a blur until the screeching of the feedback is heard again and someone pulls a plug and we hear the announcer taking a deep breath)

And now......let the games begin.

(There is applause and lights go up on the classroom - end of intro, beginning of play.  To read the rest of what I have now, please click here)
