Time – 2017

Characters –

        LAURA -  70s
        AMY   - 70s

Setting -  A bedroom in a senior care facility

(Laura is sitting, reading, and she is so absorbed that she does not see Amy is watching her
through the window)

AMY -  (Joking, but sad)  My friend.  Some friend you are now!  How inconsiderate of you to
get sick like this!  Don’t you realize other people have lives that interact with yours?  That by getting sick you have DESTROYED my orderly morning?  I mean, we used to have coffee together every day!  And go over the same things that we talked about for years!  And we would take a walk, and it was healthy, and now look at you!  I am so mad!  And the worst part is…..I can never tell you…..(sighs heavily)

(She knocks on the door, and Laura looks up when Amy enters.)
