        (Actor enters, very perplexed)

I don't know how this happened.  I put all the important dates for the year onto a calendar, not something in a cloud, but a real live, formerly a tree, paper calendar..... on my refrigerator.

At the beginning of each year, I mark every, and I mean EVERY vital date onto the beautiful empty spaces.....and I make sure to note which are important - like Christmas and Valentine's Day, birthdays but..... for some reason, every year, I miss...Groundhog Day!

And it's such an important day, because it spawned a famous movie that I love and can watch over and over and over and over and (add as many 'overs' as the audience can bear) .....just like the movie!

How would I celebrate this auspicious yearly event?

Simple!  Go to to town where it all began, Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania!  Cause you gotta love a city with an 'x' in it!

(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)

And you know what else it means?  Because I missed Groundhog Day -  more monologues!

(Exits to another year of monologues!  Thanks for reading!)
