Over.
It's over.
There is the moment when you press the button
When you say....yes
When you say....no.
There is a feeling of completion, even though nothing is ever really finished, just abandoned
All the energy, all the work, all the thinking about the work, all the more work, all the all.
Done.
The printer presses the button and the presses roll
The job is finished, the mistakes are sealed....or are they?
Can we come back and fix the wrong word on page 92?
Can we unring the bell? Remember the words we forgot to say in Act 2 Scene 3?
Can we unring the bell? Remember the words we forgot to say in Act 2 Scene 3?
Can we return to the school and apologize to the person we bullied?
Maybe...
But we can never get back the moments affected by the mistakes.
(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)
(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)
Just as we can't get back that person.....we killed.
(Over and out)
