Monologue Mania Day # 588 (due to missed number) Torture! by Janet S. Tiger Feb. 10, 2016
Special note about the numbers - - There was a number skipped - Day # 588 - so I am listing today as Day #588 to be able to finish the year without having to change all the other numbers! (Am hoping this is the worst mistake I make for this year)
Torture!

(Actor enters with whip, smiling eerily)
I love torture! I love the smell of fear that emanates from every pore of the body!
In looking at my fine, strong, powerful form now, you may not have ever guessed that when I was small, I was bullied and tortured......but I forced myself to persevere, and now, now I have the power!
(Cracks the whip)
I have the control over your lives! My decision will cause you pleasure.....or pain! And you will groan and scream and hate me with every fiber of your miserable little beings....not able to understand what you ever did in any lifetime to deserve the agony I dole out to you now!
But don't worry....it will be over soon.....it will just seem forever....and when you look back.....and you will look back....in your shuddering dreams you will remember......
(Cracks the whip again, turns to leave)
This has me so excited I have to go to the bathroom.....I will be back ....soon....the anticipation of pain is always part of the delight of this!
(Hears something, listens)
What's that you ask? Why do I like torturing people so much?
(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)
Because I always wanted to be a math teacher!
(Exits laughing to the hell where those who taught math go - forever!)
(Exits laughing to the hell where those who taught math go - forever!)
The following is an alternate ending - but am keeping it below, as due to the current events, I prefer not to encourage people who are crazy - no matter how bad the teacher!

What is that? Are you daring to challenge me? Is that a ....a gun?
(Shot heard, actor falls back clutching chest)
How could you do this? Do you think this will make any difference?
(Stumbles to leave, stops, looks back, smiles)
They'll just find another math teacher to take this class!
(Exits laughing to the hell where those who taught math go - forever!)
