Monologue Mania Day #775 On the Anniversary of Our First Two Janet S. Tiger (c) Mar. 28, 2016
Happy Anniversary, Stan!  Thanks for the wonderful words of inspiration for this monologue....and thank you to all our friends and family for sharing the journey with us.
On the Anniversary of Our First Two Weeks.....
A monologue by Janet S. Tiger

(A young man enters, dressed formally, he has a bottle of champagne and flowers.  He is very happy)

Two weeks!  I can't believe it's been two weeks!  It seems like only a moment ago we just met, and now look at us.....was it just two weeks ago we were at the synagogue, in front of our friends and family and I was so nervous that I was afraid I wouldn't be able to smash the glass on the first try, and that someone would have to bring out a hammer!

Two weeks! And we drank champagne and ate chocolate....okay, maybe we didn't drink a lot and we had a LOT of chocolate!  And we danced and laughed.....who'd a thought it was only two weeks ago?

And what a two weeks it has been!  Two apartments, two houses, two children.....two arguments, two hearts....but one tower of love that we have built tower for you and one for me ...when two become one......

We will always have these two weeks, no matter where we go or what happens - this tower of love we have built is the gift and reward and the treasure.  It is the beacon, it will keep shining as something for us and everyone we know to know that we are strong and our light is a wonder to behold. my spouse of beauty and loving splendor - happy thirtieth!

(He lifts the bottle and turns to leave, stops, looks back)

May the next two weeks be just as amazing!

(He exits......not the end by far!)

Where did this two weeks go? Thanks for a great 30, Stan!
