Monologue Mania Day #767 Let Me Finish by Janet S. Tiger (c) Mar. 20,  2016
This monologue is not really related to Day # 766. (although the names are the same- to protect the guilty!)
                            Let Me Finish!
Yes.... A monologue by Janet S. Tiger

(An older man enters, he is in the middle of a story)

So, did I ever tell you about Phil Adelberg?

          (Listens, starts to get mad.)

How come no one will ever let me finish a story?  I have a lotta great things to say!  I may be old, but for God's sake....let me finish!

Just one that so difficult?  Would it kill you to listen for an extra five minutes?  So what if you think you heard it before, maybe this time, you'll understand what I'm trying to tell you!  And  you might actually learn something!

(Building up a real head of steam) One day, I'll be gone, and you won't have to listen anymore, so would you please just shut up for one minute and LET ME FINISH!!!!

(Takes a deep breath, looks around)

Thank was I saying.....I forgot already.....

(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)

Did I ever tell you about Phil Adelberg.....

            (He exits, telling the story....again)
