Wrong Again

What did you say? No, don't try to wiggle out of it! I heard you! You said it, just like they do on every single daytime talk show every single day of the year - when they bring up all the things you should be doing, but don't do.....because if you did them all you'd have no time for anything else, including watching their shows......they pause, and with every bit of false sincerity they can muster, they admonish one and all.....'it's never too late!'
It's never too late to do this....to do that....to lose weight....to cut down on sugar....to stop hoarding...to stop smoking!.....to exercise......to eat better.....to donate more.......to re-design your fung shway......to learn something.....like what fung shway means and why is it spelled so funny......it's never too late...to forgive someone....to take a trip.....to fix a wrong....to help others!....no, it's NEVER TOO LATE to start something......to see a shrink.....to become a shrink.......to murder your shrink!.....
It's just never too late.......that's what they say.....and guess what?
THEY'RE WRONG!
Sometimes it is too late! If you forgot to send a thank you to your Aunt Mary for that birthday present six months ago, and Aunt Mary is now dead...yes, it is too late! She's never gonna get that card......and if you try to tell the IRS you forgot to mail your extension.....THEY DON'T CARE! YOU WERE LATE! And you are going to pay for your mistakes!
So for God's sake, don't wait to do the right thing! Do it now!
(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)
And please! Never again say......it's never too late! Nevah!
(Exits...but not too late)
