(An older man stands and looks at the group, listens, shakes his head)

You ask me what I'm thinkin'...well I'm tellin' ya  I'm thinkin' that all of you are.....too young!  All of you are just too young!  You over there, you say you want younger friends because they make you feel younger, well,  I need new friends.....that are old.

I need to join a group that has older people.....because .....you see, I always had older friends. That made me feel young.....but now, most of my friends are gone.....and I.....am getting to be the..... older one......and I don't like it!  Not one little bit!

I never wanted to be the oldest!  (Thinking) My Dad used to tell me, it's not good for a man to outlive all his friends.....or his ability to eat a steak.  Well, I only have two of my original teeth, so the chance for steak has sailed,,,,,,,,Maybe it's time to check out....while I'm still younger than someone....I still feel so young.....

(Looks at his hands, rubs his face)

.inside!...I feel young INSIDE..,,,,,
          .
.I suppose.....maybe I'll find out if it's possible to die young....at any age.......

.       (He sits, lights off him)
