Meant to post this yesterday, but am technically posting on April 30, so.....please understand, the days are starting to blur!

(An actor comes out dressed in black, very dramatic - different parts of the monologue can be performed with different accents - Irish, Swedish, English)

Do you remember the night - it's the 30th of April!  Exactly half a year from All Hallows Eve!  But ours is truly the night of magic!  Where all the REAL enchantment happens!  Forget about (says with disdain)  Halloween!  That's for the commercials, for all the candy....for  (spits it out) fun-sized M&Ms...but ..tonight.....this is MAGIC!

          (Waves hands and points)

Can you see it, my friends?  Look!  It's the burning of the witches!

The smoke means they are all gone.....you ask how I know about all this....well, I was there.....I was a witch, burned with the others.......for centuries, I have been in the carnivals....and the festivals.....and the food.....and the wine.....mmm, that wine!

In Sweden, in Finland....if you are past midnight......that's the time to be kissed......and the traditions go through all the countries.....Walpurgnisnight...where the sorcerors and the witches meet.....our last night for mischief before the lighter half of the year......and the magic is real........

So come join us tonight......because you can always use.....a bit of magic in your life.....

(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)

And where you are now...... the magic takes place always!  Because everyone knows that no matter what the day...  magic is always here....in.....the theater!
