(Woman walks out on stage, she's in her 50s /60s, fashionably dressed but not fancy)

I don't know how to do the hashtag thing but if I did, I would say... me too!

(Nods) I was working on my first musical.  (Remembering)  It was so exciting!  All the people, and every one of them were going to be wearing a costume that I made!

And one day, I was standing with the director looking at the stage from the wings because in a musical it's really important that the costumes can dance ...I mean that the actors can dance in them….
(She takes a deep breath, remembering the next is more difficult)

So, I'm standing there next to the director and then all of a sudden..... there is a hand.....his hand .....and it is on my back..... underneath my shirt..... and this...hand..... is moving around....

And then it moves down and it is actually touching..... my buttocks! I was so stunned I wasn't even sure what to do! It was so ........stunning! (Pulls herself together)  Anyhow.... I pulled away from him and said I see something I have to do over there and I walked away still shaking a little. And in that moment I knew..... I never wanted a man to touch me  like that ever again.

(She pulls herself together, puts her shoulders back)

Sometimes I wondered - should I have screamed? In those days that would have just made me look bad …like when Bette Midler talked about Geraldo drugging her and groping her and she said in 1991 to Barbara Walters   -Check it out - those are her exact words – maybe I shouldn’t talk about this I don’t want to get in trouble.

So....I think that's what this is all about. We should not be the ones who 'get in trouble' when someone else finds us so attractive that they have to put their hands on us WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION!!

And Pamela Anderson, thanks for the warning, but I was never with these men in a hotel room at 11pm – I was in…- restaurants  -movie theaters….sets!  And  because  it was in public, I just made an excuse - I had to go to the bathroom a lot!

But I have just made a decision – no more excuses!  If anyone ever touches me again, I'm going to scream bloody murder!

(Turns to leave stops looks back)

Because this may be just the tip of the iceberg ...but it's time some of these guys go down with the ship!

(She leaves - but standing much taller)
