Monologue Mania Day # 1343 Trippin' by Janet S. Tiger (c) Oct. 18, 2017
Trippin'

(The actor enters, OK, it's me again, because this is another story ripped from the headlines of my life!)
44 years ago I had already done my first big trip - 30 days with a Greyhound pass - all over the country
44 years ago I had already done my first big trip - 30 days with a Greyhound pass - all over the country
I knew I was never going to forget it - not one minute of those 30 days. I promised myself as I left the bus
station that first day......
station that first day......
But something happened to that promise - I do recall the highlights - but the rest, the
looking out the window at hours of cactus - is blurry.
Not bad, just more like an old photo that is turning brown with age.....fading, but not gone
Today I leave to visit my son in another state.
My first vacation in 4 years
My first plane flight in 11 years
My first time visiting my son in his new home.
His first home on his own
And I will never forget one minute of this trip. I promise.
(I am not exiting, but am enjoying the visit!)
