Monologue Mania Day # 1157 No Apologies  by Janet S. Tiger (c) April 14, 2017

(With many thanks to my sister, Harriet Schechter, who wrote the poem below--except for one line plus one word which I added so I can claim I wrote something tonight!)

This is a direct response to the previous day #1156 Apology

            (A woman enters, she has a smiling pleasant face.  And she is pleasant.....or is she?)

I saw a bug upon a wall.
It didn't fly, it didn't crawl.

I went to smash it, but I paused.
I thought: "What harm has this thing caused?
It has no teeth, it has no claws."
Must I kill it 'just because'?

       (She turns to leave, looks back)

So I stopped & gave it time to pray;
And then I smashed it anyway.
