Welcome to Monologue Mania- one new free* monologue a day- -and still going!

                                                The Juggler Returns

          (The woman from the earlier Juggler monologues comes back onstage, this time she is dragging her feet and barely humming the tune from the circus)

Da da dada da da.....

I'm sorry, I just can't do it anymore.

I was juggling all the eggs just fine, well, maybe not fine, maybe some omelets, but then something comes along, and...it's not an egg....or even a watermelon....

Sometimes.....it's a .....bigger than that......something that is not fixable, but.....a loss.....

          (She looks up in anguish, then leans her head down and takes a kleenex)

Sometimes ....you get to juggle..... a chainsaw.......

         (She turns and we see that one of the sleeves from her sweater is empty......her arm is gone)


         (She stops, looks back)

Maybe it'll grow back.....

         (Lights down, end of scene)
