(Man in his fifties enters, intent on following his phone. He looks around, stops)
Sorry I'm late!
(Shakes the phone)
Don't worry, it's not that crazy game where you run around looking for those animals....I'm just trying to do those mind games on this site, before I lose my mind completely!.....I mean, I am trying to keep hold of what mind I have left!
You see, my grandfather died of Alzheimer's when I was a kid, and now...now my Dad barely remembers who I am.....I mean, he's halfway to the end, and it's already been five years.....so, I guess we have another five to go......not a pleasant way to go.....not for the family.....
Funny how when you're a kid, you always wanna be like your Dad.... Take me! I wanna go!
Me, too! Now...... I wonder about....me....three......what if....I'm third in the line......
I mean, I take care of my Dad, he's got help around the clock now, because Mom just can't do it all, and I don't mind not having a new car, or a new house or a new anything....I guess, I'm just worried that ..who'll be there taking care of me.....
It's like......I'm looking in a mirror.....and that one day, that old man who can't remember anything, will be........ me......hey, remember when we were kids and watched the scary movies.....with the guy and the chainsaw? Well, I think this is scarier.....because....it's real.
(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)
I guess, I'm just worried I'll look in the mirror, and I won't know.....who it is.....
(Exits playing for time)
