Monologue Mania Day # 1651 Rememberies (for Irene) by Janet S. Tiger (c) Aug. 24, 2018

Because I wrote an entire one-act yesterday, today, I am taking a break - but I want to give my youngest a birthday present on a special birthday - her 24th on the 24th!  Happy Birthday Irene!  And many, many more!

                                Rememberies

I tell her the story of the day of her birth...again.  She has heard this often, sometimes asked for, others times just because I like to tell the story!

Shirley coming to help and saying that I was 'huffin' and puffin' and I should go to the hospital because Shirley (although a mother herself many times!) could not deliver the baby.

The nurses saying Irene has gotten a 10 on the apgar test (I didn't even know what that was!)- and only Doctor's children got that score......how Irene had been born and was crying, but when I suggested the nurses tell her I'd be feeding her soon, not to worry - as soon as they shared this information, she was quiet, she had understood.

And so it began - and it is now 24 years along - and I am still in love with this beautiful girl who grows more beautiful every day.

I could go on and on, with lots of amazing stories  - but for this minute, no more rememberies  - just my love and wishes for more beautiful years to come!

Happy Birthday!
With all my love,
Mom
