(Ariana and Isaac are talking, he cannot believe what she is saying, keeps shaking his head)

ARIANA -  So really what you are talking about is.......Constant variables -

ISAAC - There is no such thing!

ARIANA - Yes there is!

ISAAC -  Not in math at least!

ARIANA -   But math is not separate from our souls!  Oh yes, all of the human emotions are constant variables!  Love and hate and sadness and fear and shame and ....happiness, anger.....18 I think, others 35, and they slide into each other...

ISAAC -  Have you learned absolutely nothing from my tutoring?

ARIANA -  Absolutely nothing!  Another constant variable!

ISAAC -  Amazing!  The whole point of math is to make sure there is something....something that is constant!  That never changes!  That you can depend on no matter what things happen in your life!  That is the whole point of math!

ARIANA -  The whole point of math.......and tell me.....can it fit on the head of a pin......or on ....a pinhead?

            (Lights down, end of scene)
