Monologue Mania Day #998 So? by Janet S. Tiger (c) Nov. 6, 2016
Alert - very strange monologue!

A monologue by Janet S. Tiger   © all rights reserved

(The actress/writer rolls onstage with a scooter)

Why do I have a scooter?  Why not?  I think I have a scooter because the author, after nine hundred gazillion monologues has decided she has never used a scooter before so now it's time!

La- de dah!

For those who complain, I am fully authorized to respond....So?

So what if it's a scooter?

Does it matter?  Really?  In the giant scheme of things does it really matter?

The director will change it to a skateboard, and the actor will change it to roller skates and the poor writer will run around complaining to all who will listen - and that includes nobody! - that no one ever follows the directions!  And what I have to say is....So?

I have found this one word changes the whole world!  Two  letters...'S' followed by 'o' and you have the ultimate answer......

A person notices you have put on a blouse with a stain and you can answer.....'so?'

Or they say other silly

(Imitates voice)  You said you were going to save me that last piece of chicken!
(Back to herself)  So?

(Imitates)  You promised me you were going to stop seeing that other person!
(Back to herself)  So?

(Imitates)  You said the gun wasn't loaded!
(Smiling)  So?

(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)

(Imitates voice)  You say you've done a thousand monologues but some are just repeats!

(Laughing)  So?

(She exits - without the usual silly finish - to which I respond....So?)

Author's note -
What kind of future do you expect from all this?      So -so!
