(Smiling, the woman enters and points at a faraway wall)

There, please just put it there.  That's good......a little more....perfect......you are such a big help!  Thank you for coming over here....I mean, I know I have a few things to organize before the end of the month.....

         (Listens)

Oh, no!  I'm not a hoarder!  That word is for....other people.  People who have no idea what they are doing, who save too many things and make others miserable.  No, I'm not a hoarder..... I'm a ....saver!

You look surprised, well, just take a good look around.

        (She indicates the area)

Notice how this storage shed is very well organized, a place for everything, and everything in its place.  All the kids' old school things, and every single gift they ever made with their tiny hands is safely catalogued for when they get famous someday......oh, yes, I know it's possible, just a few more years will make all the difference.  And when I touch the items....it brings back such lovely memories.....as if the physical item is like a time machine!

Now, I've seen the shows about .....all those...hoarders, where everything is a big mess!  And they have no idea where everything is!  I, on the other hand, have photos of everything here.....and computer records, so that if I want to look at my bills from 1979, I know right where to find them!

Where did I learn how to do this?  Simple.....from the museum!  I worked in one for most of my adult life, and I have learned a lot.  Number one - the goal of a hoarder is to die before having to deal with all their crap!

But a saver.....the goal is to store, to learn...to teach about the past from the past, to influence the future!

(She turns to leave, stops, looks back)

You could say I...savor being a saver!

(She exits, waving at the objects and savoring every minute)
