Monologue Mania Day  # 192  by Janet S. Tiger        A New Tablet  Aug.23, 2014

(An older woman comes onstage.  She is holding a tablet which she is poking at with her fingers. She starts to laugh maniacally.)

 How does this work?

I cannot figure out how to work this new device.

I am not too stupid.  But I know one thing, if Moses had to use tablets like this, there would be no 10 commandments!

(She pokes at the device with her fingers, then starts to wail, holding the tablet over her head using both hands!)

Take that you golden calf!

(She takes the tablet and smashes it the end of the tablet,,her sanity and this monologue!  Based on a semitruestory, all right, a mostly true story.....I did not break the tablet, but...it was close)

Note- Some good news - my one-act, NOT SO FAST! was a winner in the 2014 Script Tease of Short Plays - Honorable Mention - will have it on my website soon
