(Ariana is talking to Isaac - this will occur sometime towards the end of the play)

So now you have a decision.  What are you going to do, Isaac?  Squeal on me?

Let me give you a hint how to decide, and I'm going to use one of your faves- Mr. Einstein - to help you.

Gravity and light - Einstein said that gravity affected light, it changed the path, slowed it down, made it bend.

And time was different around gravity, too.  Gravity made time bend.

The other equation is with people - the gravity of the situation can change time

Einstein said something like this about relativity- If you sit on a hot stove for a second, it's like an hour but when a pretty girl sits on your lap, one hour is like one second

          (Isaac is embarrassed)

Gravity, time, light, relativity

Most people are  never aware how they fit into the equation of life, but they do.

Each person is affected by the gravity of the situation - and this gravity in turn affects how they perceive time.

Life is in constant movement, yet it stands still on the timeline of life.

Each moment, frozen in memory, affecting others, yet standing alone.

We think we are able to watch without influencing the events, but we are wrong, very wrong.

Just our presence,  doing nothing but watching - we create a gravity, and this affects all the outcomes.

And secrets are the surprise elements - the phantom electrons, the uncertainty principal elements.  The scene is played, and then the secret revealed, and suddenly, the scene is completely different.

What do you think of this man, let's call him Max - who invents something that can feed half the planet?  A wonderful guy.....a genius.....a saint.

Then I tell you he also invented poison gas that killed many - including his own people.

What is the man without the gravity of all his decisions.  Each choice a ripple in the fabric of time.

What will your choice be, Isaac?  How will you affect gravity?
And how grave will be the results?

(She exits as Isaac watches. End of scene)
