Monologue Mania Day #866 Let Me Finish! (30 second  version) by Janet S. Tiger (c) June 27,  2016

Please note -this is for my book - 30 Monologues Under 30 Seconds
                                                                                           This monologue is for -

This is under 30 seconds -first posted on Mar. 20, 2016 Day # 767 (original post below)    All the monologues for this book have been timed - but your performance will determine the length.  Usually between 30 seconds and one minute is acceptable for auditions preferring shorter monologues.  Use a stopwatch for good results - video for even better.  Good luck!

(An older man enters, he is in the middle of a story)

So, did I ever tell you about Phil Adelberg?

          (Listens, starts to get mad.)

How come no one will ever let me finish a story?

Just one story....is that so difficult?  Would it kill you to listen for an extra five minutes?  So what if you think you heard it before, maybe this time, you'll understand what I'm trying to tell you!  And  you might actually learn something!

(Building up a real head of steam) One day, I'll be gone, and you won't have to listen anymore, so would you please just shut up for one minute and LET ME FINISH!!!!

(Takes a deep breath, looks around)

Thank you.......now.....what was I saying.....I forgot already.....

(Turns to leave, stops, looks back)

Did I ever tell you about Phil Adelberg.....

            (He exits, telling the story....again)

Original Post -  Just like the game where you have to guess what is different - can you spot the changes?  Not a lot for this one - but a few!
