(Woman enters reading a letter, laughing)
What are the chances I would have saved this old letter? I mean, it's more than....
(She squints at the date on an envelope)
What are the chances I would have saved this old letter? I mean, it's more than....
(She squints at the date on an envelope)
More than I can figure out without a calculator!
How young we were!
(Turns the page and her head snaps back in laughter)
How crazy we were!
(She examines the paper and sniffs it)
Chances are that we will never write another letter to each other....with pen and ink.
How young we were!
(Turns the page and her head snaps back in laughter)
How crazy we were!
(She examines the paper and sniffs it)
Chances are that we will never write another letter to each other....with pen and ink.
Chances are....good. But why are chances 'good' when so much of what the chances lead to is...not so good.
Because.... chances are that we will....never see each other again in the flesh. Because trips are long, and tiring, and now we want to just nap. And do the phone, and email and Facebook and Skype, . And other things that we don't understand how they work.....and hope that one day they will find a way to teleport ourselves to other cities, just like in the old Star Trek shows. Because those shows actually are coming to life......Even though, we are coming to the end of it......
(She puts the letter into the envelope)
(She puts the letter into the envelope)
But you never know.....Chances are.....that will change.....at least we can hope, and ...stay in touch whatever way we can....sometimes just in our hearts......because....
Chances are very good......that....we will always be....friends.
(She turns to leave, stops, looks back)
And chances are very good that I will never throw this out!
(She exits, laughing)
And chances are very good that I will never throw this out!
(She exits, laughing)
